Hey there - I'm Nottingham_Lens.
I'm not a professional. I'm just someone who can't leave the house without a camera.
Nottingham_Lens is my little corner of the internet — a collection of whatever caught my eye. Streets in Nottingham where I grew up, chaos and colour in Japan, wide open spaces across America. No theme, no rules, just photos I felt were worth keeping.
Oh, and if you were wondering — yes, everything is a photo opportunity now. Sorry about that.

My setup is nothing fancy, and honestly that's kind of the point. My main camera is a Sony A6400 — compact enough to take everywhere, capable enough to never feel like a limitation. For everyday walkabout shooting I'll usually have the kit 16-50mm OSS on the front, which is small, light, and does the job without me having to think too much. When I want to slow down and shoot with a bit more intention, I reach for the TTArtisan 35mm f/1.8 Mark II — an autofocus prime that's quickly become my favourite thing I own. It handles autofocus when you need it, but also lets you switch to manual when you want to take your time and be more deliberate about what you're shooting. There's something about that flexibility that just works for me.
Then there's the weird one: a Retropia lens built from a real disposable camera. It's lo-fi, a little unpredictable, and produces images that look like they came from another decade entirely — which is exactly why I love it. Sometimes the "wrong" tool makes the most interesting photo.
When the camera bag stays home (it doesn't happen often), my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL picks up the slack and rarely disappoints. Everything I shoot eventually lands in Lightroom, where I spend probably too much time tweaking things that most people will never notice — and where I'm currently working on my own presets to try and pin down something that feels like mine.
As for style? I don't really have one. I just shoot what I like, what catches my eye and generally what makes me happy on long walks or city adventures.
